Our Work

It was easy for our non-architect minds to conjure up images of architectural clichés, such as blueprints, to use as a basis for the design. As a result, we knew we had to run in the other direction, instead going with a color- and type-based design.

We also wanted something that would stand out amid the pile of mail and promo pieces this audience receives. OK, maybe promo pieces are bright, too, but they certainly don’t have the bold, but refined, typography featured on the suite of materials we designed: a “save the date” card, registration brochure, and nametags and signage templates.

We did use a couple images of buildings, but deliberately used them for texture and not as recognizable architectural examples. And this is a rare case where we actually enjoyed making a logo into a really big feature, with the AIA eagle perched at the center of the design.
