Sabine Pound
My Dressing Room exhibition
Sabine’s Little Room
Imagine that you could sneak back into time to your favorite childhood getaway, the place you spent time playing, dreaming, and sheltering from anything that scared you. Sabine Pound did just this.
In this exhibition, the French-born Australian-based artist transformed a room in RMIT University’s First Site Gallery into her childhood playroom. Surrounded by cotton candy colored walls, this look into the past included old photos, toys, and other trinkets from her childhood in France.
Our Work
Little Kelpie developed an invitation and gallery catalog for the exhibition. The concept for both pieces included a silhouette of Sabine as a child that was taken from one of her old photos. The inside of the silhouette was filled with information about Sabine and the show, the invitation’s info detailed in the artist’s handwriting.
