What would it be like to have an opening at a downtown art gallery—when you’re only a second-year art student? These students got that chance.

In Australia there are three years in an undergraduate program, not four like we have in the United States. (Don’t get jealous—they go do an extra year in high school.) So this group of art students were two-thirds through their undergrad program, hence the name of the show.

We took the two-thirds concept pretty literally and used the classic Pyrex measuring cup filled to, you guessed it, two-thirds. We also applied the literal concept to the typography, slicing off one-third of the exhibition title.

One of the students, Sabine Pound, liked the invitation so much that she hired us to create an invite for her solo show.
