Department of theatre arts website

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Theatre Arts website was in desperate need of an overhaul. We redeveloped the entire site, giving it a new design, information architecture, and brand new code to bring it into the contemporary world of Web standards.

The department’s Shakespeare-in-the-Schools (SITS) program also benefited from the redesign. We altered the department’s design just enough to provide SITS with its own personality, but retained the family look of the parent site. SITS was also rebuilt from the ground up, with a new architecture and code.

It’s always a bonus to work with a client that has good photography. So we put it to good use on both sites with a home page banner that changes upon refresh, highlighting many different types of performances the department stages each year.

We often work with other small studios on projects, which helps us to deliver expert work at a reasonable price. Our fantastic partner for this site was Agami Creative, whose expert hands crafted the code for the site.
